One of my favourite things about the spring is cherry blossom. So I was delighted when I met with Karen and Doug and they asked me to do a cherry blossom wedding cake. I think cherry blossom is perfect for a spring wedding. I love the dusky pink colour of the flowers against the brown branches.
The wedding was at Glencorse House, a gorgeous, family run, wedding venue just outside Edinburgh. As you can see the cake stand that the venue provide s beautiful. The staff were so friendly and well organised. I would definitely recommend Glencorse House for any couples looking for a wedding venue.
Karen and Doug chose two flavours of cake. There was two tiers of classic vanilla sponge with buttercream and jam filling. The other two tiers were delicious red velvet sponge with cream cheese frosting filling. Red velvet cake has been a really popular choice with brides this year.
